Knee deep in filthy carpet remnants I found myself in need of some tools - off to see George!
George Beland makes beautiful furniture that I exhibit in the gallery, his studio is located in the
Button Factory. In addition, George is clever, resourceful and most generous; he has helped me out on many occassions and I am truly grateful. On this day, George lent me some tools: a power sander, some work gloves and a freshly sharpened descendant of the crow-bar.
George then showed me some of the new furniture designs for his Foundation Line. George's designs are simple and elegant. Pictured here is the nightstand. This piece and others will soon be available in the gallery!
